The PTO is us! The parents and teachers at Encinal. We are volunteers who work to provide enriching programs that extend the curriculum provided by the Menlo Park City School District. By joining the PTO, you become part of the network of parents and teachers who are working to enhance all our children’s educational experience. We are committed to providing quality programs that help make Encinal Excellent!
Funds to support all PTO-sponsored programs and purchases are generated through membership dues and through parent-coordinated fundraisers.

Executive Vice President
Assist the President; represents the Encinal PTO on the District PTO Council; advisor to nominating committee; review of outgoing PTO communications, organize the Back to School Coffee and other responsibilities described in the Bylaws. 2 year term (becomes President the following year). Provides oversight and direction to several assigned committees.
Financial Secretary
Works closely with the treasurer in keeping records of income, receipts, and distributions; and other responsibilities described in the Bylaws. 2 year term (becomes the Treasurer the following year). Provides oversight and direction to several assigned committees.
Secretary
Responsible for recording the minutes of the monthly Executive Board meetings and the PTO General Meetings; coordinates correspondence as needed. Provides oversight and direction to several assigned committees.
Community Coordinator
Responsible for oversight of PTO efforts to build a sense of community among all students and families; coordinate efforts to provide additional support to students/families as needed. Provides oversight and direction to several assigned committees.
School Support Coordinator
Responsible for coordinating programs and events that support the operations of the school and Student Council. Provides oversight and direction to several assigned committees
Volunteer Coordinator(s)
Responsible for head room parent selection, training, and coordination; communication between head room parents and PTO Executive Board; assist with Back to School Coffee and recruiting and managing of other PTO volunteers. Provides oversight and direction to several assigned committees.
Communications Coordinator
Responsible for developing and coordinating the communications messages and vehicles of the PTO to parents and staff to ensure consistency and timeliness of messages. Provides oversight and direction to several assigned committees.
Auditor
Responsible for auditing the PTO financial records twice during the school year and for developing and maintaining volunteer processes (handbook, training, tracking hours, etc.). Provides oversight and direction to several assigned committees.
